The Diamond Girls Story
“You made that so easy!”
The Diamond Girls are terrible “salespeople” and they are proud of it! Their goal is to personalize your shopping experience without the typical salesman mentality. They strive to make your experience as stress-free as possible. Their favorite and most frequent compliment from their clients is “You made that so easy”. Whether you’re shopping online or in their showroom, The Diamond Girls are committed to creating a fun, educational, and relaxing experience.
The Diamond Girls started their company during the recession in April of 2009. This would normally be a terrible time to start a business, but for The Diamond Girls, it was a pivotal moment in their career. At this point, Natalie and Lisa had been working as wholesalers and appraisers for ten years. While traveling around the country they saw a gap in the retail industry. Brick and mortar stores were losing out to the internet sellers due to their pricing structure and high overhead stores simply could not compete with the online broker prices.
The Diamond Girls office was specifically designed with a low overhead and internet competitive atmosphere. The added bonus, which sets them apart from their online competitors, is you get to see your diamond options in person before you purchase. For internet and out of state customers, the Diamond Girls will personally inspect your purchase to ensure it meets your expectations, and theirs, prior to sending it directly to you with the Diamond Girls Certification. They have the education, experience, and are committed to being honest to each of their customers. They never want to sell a diamond they aren’t proud to represent as their reputation depends on it and their business has grown from this mindset.
As the Diamond Girls business continues to grow both locally and nationally, the girls also remain focused on giving back to the community. To date, they have supported over thirty local and national organizations.
Meet The Diamond Girls
I am Natalie one of the owners of The Diamond Girls. I was born and raised in the Coachella Valley. At the age of 18 I moved to Idaho. My passion for Jewelry started when I was 19 years old. Through the years, I’ve worked in retail, as a goldsmith, and wholesaled all over the country. I found design work is my niche in our company. I have a knack for seeing a person’s style by the clothes they wear and the furniture that graces their home. My passion for creating custom pieces is what I am known for.
I’ve created pieces for multiple celebrity athletes and continue to do so to this day. My passion is creating timeless pieces that can be handed down, generation after generation. I work with some of the top designers in our industry to produce a quality piece you can be proud of and love. I take into consideration the lifestyle you live as well when I am designing your piece. My goal is to always make you the hero, and help you choose or create the perfect gift for your loved one.
My other passion is charitable work. When we started our company, we started it on the basis that we would give back to our community. We love introducing our new designs to our community with 100% of the proceeds going to the foundation we are supporting. You will see our work at the Jayden DeLuca Foundation, Dress for Success, Make a Wish, along with multiple other charitable foundations. Keep your eye out…You’ll see us. We promise!
I am Lisa one of the owners of The Diamond Girls. I am a Boise native and wouldn’t live anywhere else in the world. I graduated from Boise State University with a sports medicine degree, which I am clearly not using! I was working at a retail jewelry store while going to college and fell in love with the jewelry business. I love how it functions, which took me on this crazy journey for the last 24 years.
I wanted to explore all aspects of the jewelry industry. I have worked at large chain stores and small independent stores. I even worked as a goldsmith and traveled the country as a wholesaler. After all of the experiences, Natalie and I saw a gap in the jewelry business locally. We knew we could offer our clients huge savings and stay internet competitive.
I’m the resident science nerd. I love the scientific side of gem identification and diamond cutting. While that’s my favorite part of the business, I love even more getting thank yous and hugs from our diamond girls after I help their fiancé put together the perfect engagement ring, unbeknownst to them. I love representing the ‘girl perspective’ to make her perfect piece a surprise.
Hi! I am Kayla, Director of Operations, for The Diamond Girls. I am an Air Force Brat and was born in Iceland. I lived in Germany until I was eight and have been in Boise for the past 20 years. I love the City of Trees and have made it my home. I went to Boise State University and studied English Literature. You will find me reading anywhere and everywhere, in my spare time. I was a computer technician for 5 years while going through school. I then worked in Human Resources for 4 years. I was working 70 hours a week at a desk job and it wasn’t my passion. I have always loved fashion and jewelry, so I went on the hunt for a job that was better suited for me. I fell in love with The Diamond Girls and was ecstatic they were ready to branch out and hire another employee.
I love working in the jewelry business and look forward to coming to work every day. I am a numbers girl, and numbers play a large part within the jewelry business. I love shopping through the hundreds of vendors we have worldwide and finding the best price possible for our customers. I stay true that we can find the ring for a better price without compromising the material of the ring, or of the stone. While we are called The Diamond Girls, we work with all gems. My favorite ring to date is a beautiful golden sapphire.
We also play a large role in the community. I always look forward to working with different charities and meeting like-minded individuals. In a year’s time, we donate on average, over 20 pieces and I am proud to work for a company that gives back so heavily.
